Market Pulse: Linktone Buys Brilliant Concept for $11.5 Million Cash

NEW YORK (MarketWatch) -- Linktone Ltd. said Tuesday it acquired privately held Brilliant Concept Investments Ltd. for $11.5 million in cash. The final purchase price will be determined based on Brilliant's 2005 results, Linktone said. The Shanghai, China-based online gaming company acquired Brilliant, an online gaming company, to complement its wireless services. The acquisition is expected to add to earnings in 2005, the company said. Linktone's stock fell 20 cents to close at $6.86 Monday.
